Apply for the FAFSA starting October 1, 2018 to determine student eligibility for federal and state aid such as grants, work study, and loans:

  • Filed Federal Income Tax forms for 2017
  • Create FSA ID - Go to

    • Household Size
    • Social Security number or Alien Registration number
    • Completed FAFSA for 2019-2020 - Go to

2019-2020 Scholarship Application for Texas Student Housing - Thursday, January 31, 2019

The 2019-2020 Scholarship Application for Texas Student Housing is now available in the FHS Office for students who plan to attend college in Austin, College Station, or Denton and who plan to live off campus.  The application deadline is 1/31/2019.

Baylor University announces their Carr P. Collins Scholarship Program

Baylor University announces their Carr P. Collins Scholarship Program.  Students who have demonstrated leadership through service, rank in the top 25% of their class and who have received a 1310+ on SAT or 28+ on ACT can access the scholarship at

Mansfield Historical Society Scholarship - Feb. 15, 2019.

The Mansfield Historical Society Scholarship is now available in the BBIA/FHS main office.  The deadline for submission is February 15th.

New Scholarship Opportunity for Spring 2019

There is a new scholarship opportunity for Spring 2019. It is a scholarship that looks at the impact of distracted driving and explores ways to address this growing problem.

In order to apply, students must submit an essay on the topic.

Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation - March 1, 2019

The Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation 2019 Scholarship Program Application is now available in the BBIA/FHS office.  Applications must be received by March 1, 2019.  For more information, please call 817.335.6004, or email

Champion Firm Video/Essay Scholarship

The Champion Firm is offering a video/essay scholarship about how students plan to be "champions" in their chosen fields in order to help their communities.

In order to apply, students must submit a video and short essay.

MISD Multi Scholarship - Feb. 22, 2019

The MISD Multi Scholarship is now open to graduating seniors.  The deadline this year will be February 22, 2019.  The link is:

Courses 2019 Scholarship Program - February 28, 2019

Scholarship Name: Courses 2019 Scholarship Program

Amount: 2 x $2,500 ($5,000 USD total)

Field of Study: Any

Applications Open: 15th November 2018

Application Close: 28th February 2019

Eligibility: Seniors, Undergrads and Grad Students who are enrolled to attend an accredited college or university 

Application Process: To apply for the scholarship, students need to complete the following:

1.      Submit a 500 word essay. Applicants will be judged on the content of the essay they provide on the topic of: "How online learning can help prepare students for the skilled labour requirements in an increasingly automated economy."

2.      Provide a summary of their best academic achievements and/or their current extracurricular activities.

Sankofa Foundation Scholarship - March 8, 2019

The Sankofa Foundation now has their 2019 Scholarship Application available in the main office.  Applications must be post-marked by March 8, 2019.

Rosen & Ohr Law 2019 essay scholarship - July 20, 2019

Rosen & Ohr Law announces their 2019 essay scholarship sponsored by the firm.

The scholarship offers a cash award to the student who writes the best response to the following prompt: "Write an essay explaining in detail how a serious accident involving you, a family member, or a close friend has impacted your life. This could have been a car crash, a slip-and-fall accident, a work-related injury, or any other serious accident."

Cirkled In The $2500 "Live Forever" Scholarship - March 31, 2019

The $2500 "Live Forever" Scholarship for student in 8th-12th grades is being offered by Cirkled In.

It’s an easy scholarship to apply for, with no minimum GPA, no income requirements, and no long essay to write – just a short answer to our prompt question. Students can use the award for any educational-related need (tuition, books & supplies, etc). I’ve attached a flyer in both English and Spanish with all the information. 

Deadline is March 31, 2019.
